60' super 88 dash pad and carpet question

With my field beast i brought home a few weeks ago the previous owner removed all the interior trim and bagged and labeled everything.

For the carpet i'm looking at ordering Plush cutpile with mass backing and floor mats from stockinteriors.com. I haven't figured out a color yet. Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about the quality and install of carpet from there? Or can someone else suggest somewhere better?

Now my terminology may not be accurate so feel free to correct me if need be.

The dashpad on this is cracking and brittle and the under padding or foam is dust n falls apart. Is there a straight forward way to replace it? Should i remove the dash and paint it versus replace the vinyl/leather and padding?

Pictures attached and thanks in advance guys.

Padded dash was standard on S88 and Ninety Eight but still optional on Dynamic in 1960. I expect you'll see mounting holes under the pad if you do away with it. There are companies specializing in padded dash repair but they are expensive.

Olds used deep twist carpet in 1960 but plush cut pile will look good in there.

You'll find two cool things when you get the inside finished. The green jewels above the ashtrays light up as does the Super Eighty Eight trim on passenger side. The ashtray lights were an Olds thing from 50s-80s.

A reputable auto upholstery shop should be able to restore your dash pad. For your carpet needs try automotiveinteriors in Massachusetts or call ACC carpet direct, I think they're
located in a southern state.

I look up ACC Carpet Direct and it sends me to Stockinteriors.com. Going to assume its the same site your talking about. Automotiveinteriors has seat stuff i could find too.

Thanks for pointing me in their direction.

Here are some options for dash repair:

https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...repair-143071/

https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...needed-142728/

Apparently, Just Dashes has a great service but their customer service stinks and they are pricey.

Appreciate it! cash spent on the field beasts interior carpet and interior trim being painted is enough to make me sweat.

Still unsure what the plan for the seats are..

How did the carpet turn out from stockinteriors? Thinking of ordering and was wondering what the quality and fit were like. Thanks!

Did the install 2 weeks ago and the Carpet turned out perfect. Installed rear 1st and did the front 2nd, overlap, mold was spot on. I did have to cut ome for fitment but that was epected and a bonus.

Peeled the dash pad off, sanded, taped and painted it, custom seats are done and installed. Have some interior trim left to put up and [package tray and a few other things.
