Power seat extenders availability 🤔

I have the 4 way power driver bucket seat in my '72 Supreme, and was wondering of anyone makes a set of extenders for the power seat.

Apologies for asking, but what are you extending? I’m not familiar.😕

If you're talking about moving the seat mount points an inch or two.....Year One sells a kit for either bench or buckets. I installed a set on my bucket seats. It seems to be sturdy! I think one set for a bench or two sets for bucket seats.
Universal seat relocation brackets.

Take care,

I want to move my driver seat back for more leg room.

Thanks for the reply, but apparently 4 way power seats have different rear mounting points than the manual seats, so that's my dilemma.

Probably your best bet is to sell your Cutlass and get an 88 or 98.

Really though, I moved the seat back in my 64 98 by drilling extra holes in the floorboard. This was not what right looks like though. The floors of even our classic cars are strengthened where the seats and the seat belts are mounted.

Drilling extra holes in the floorboard was a gamble that I wouldn't get in a wreck and have the seat rip out of the floorboard. That was many years ago, young and stupid. My 71 98 actually fits better, at 7ft. tall I only have to move the power bench seat back in the OE position.

The last time I did a power seat conversion I thought they bolted the same. Maybe I have CRS.

The power chassis mount is different from the manual tracks. Your objective is going to require some fabrication and modification. Depending on how much you move the seat, the seatbelt placement and power harness could also be affected. There are no “seat extensions” available commercially. I’m certain that the liability involved would make them impractical to manufacture for the market. Don’t get me wrong, It CAN be done but you’ll need to access if it will be worth the effort and expense. Especially if trying to make it appear factory. Good luck😀

YUP! What I said in post #3 with link! I would think that would work. Installed a set on my driver's bucket seat and it is secure! I'll put the other set on the passenger bucket if I ever get the car finished!

Probably my biggest gripe with 68-72 GM A-bodies. When they shortened the wheelbase in 68 they didn't take people over 6 feet tall into account.

I sincerely hope that this inexpensive option will provide a solution to your problems. My only concerns would be the differences between manual seats versus power seats mounting differences, track alignment. Please advise on how this option works, I’m certain that if it is an easier option many folks might opt for it. Cheers!😁

I would think the seat bolts would be the same. And with these the position difference shouldn't matter but then, I've never messed with power seats. I'm not an Oldsmobile expert by far but it seems like worth a try. I didn't have to even take the seat out to install them.
