I ended up buying the speaker panels minus the speakers from Ames Performance. The challenge will be to find a good sounding speaker with a minimum mounting depth. I originally purchased a set of Infinity 2 ohm speakers and ended up replacing them with a set of Polk Audio 4 ohm (521's). I also used the foam speaker enclosures behind the speakers to help project the sound. There is only around 2" to 2-3/8" of depth to mount the speakers so I ended up modifying the Polk provided backing rings to move the speakers out away from the metal behind the kick panels otherwise the speaker magnet touches the frame of the car. I also had to cut and re weld to offset my emergency brake pedal since it was almost hitting the speaker grill and I was afraid of damaging the grill when using the brake. The repro panels are a bit glossy compared to the rest of my black interior so I gave them a coat of Sems semi gloss as well as the silver Polk grills to make them blend in a bit better. Have not finished the stereo system yet, but I have ran all my wires to the trunk area before installing my interior. Since my car is stock, I didn't want to cut any door or kick panel metal out of the way. I'll see if I have any pic's to post when I get to work. Sonic Elextronics has some great prices,

Here are some pics of the Polk speaker installed. I have to correct myself from the previous post. The Polk speakers that I used are the 6-1/2" db621 not the 5-1/4". The first two pics before I painted the grills black.
