Front bench seat cover with armrest cutout ?

The bench seats on my 1978 Delta 88 have been covered since new, so the crushed velour still looks wonderful. My current covers wore out and I trashed them.

Although I’ve enjoyed sitting directly on the seats I feel a little guilty and worried someone will stain them. So it’s time for new covers.

The covers I see on Amazon are for a full bench with no provision for an armrest. The covers I had were continuous for the bottom seat portion, but had two individual flaps if you will for the seat backs and elastic to keep those two seat backs in place. This allowed the armrest to be folded up or down. (Armrest wasn’t protected)

Anyone make that style anymore?

I don't know what kind of seat covers are available on Amazon, but here are two well-rated suppliers of slip-on style seat covers.

Thanks! Nothing on their sites seems to work with a bench with folding armrest, but I emailed both companies to ask.

Now I wish I had kept the old one as maybe I could have a seamstress make something easily.

Who are you saving the seats for, the next owner?

x10 !!!!

If you want to protect them, have it scotch guarded so that stains and stuff will wipe off easier,
Its one thing if its ripped up and want to hide\cover that, but if its mint, let the world see that cool OE upholstery!!

Both of the companies above responded to my email saying they don’t have anything that can handle the bench with folding armrest.

My uncle bought this car brand new in 1978. I was his closest family, so he left it to me. I have two teens who I think will appreciate the car one day, and hopefully it stays in the family.

The light blue velour seats really are in 99/100 condition.

The Scotchguard is an interesting idea, though it doesn’t prevent general wear from climbing in and out.

Maybe a simple blanket on the bottom seat portion would be a decent compromise.
