59 Olds restoration

Hi Guys and Gals;
I wonder if any of you have anyone located who can make a new dash pad for a 1959 olds dash. I have found seat covers-some small listings for door panels none on dash pads or package trays for back window yet. Do any of you know of any place that does a new dash or is the best thing to take the cover off and send it in to just dashes?
Thanks for the help

The only company I know of that does dash pads is Just Dashes. You might also be able to get a velour cover for the dash. This will at least cover the cracks until you can save up the dough and time to have Just Dashes recover it properly.

The dashpad should be one of the easiest pieces to recover assuming you dont care about originality. The biggest pain is removing the actual dash pad from the dashboard - I think it was like 16 nuts to remove and everyone but 2 was a pain in the a$$ to get to. Strip the vinyl from the old dashpad and you have the templete to make a new one. On a side note-I have seen 2 other '59's with an all STEEL 'dashpad'..and they are in junkyards. They are pretty cool cause you dont see alot of '59's without a padded dash
