1970 cutlass dash mounting HELP!

I am ready to install the dash back on the car. There are about 8 to 10 studs that go into the metal dash . I lost the mounting nuts. I tried using 8-32 but wont start onto the studs. The threads look ok . Does anyone know if these were supposed to be speed nuts or what?

Speed nuts (aka "stamped nuts") were used there.....8 - 32 size.

If you can't find any speed/stamped nuts that work just let me know and I can send some to you. I probably have plenty around here.

Nuts for your dash

I just pulled out my dash. if the fastener are a 8-32 serrated self locking nut. Bolt Depot has them https://boltdepot.com/Product-Detail...IaAnVAEALw_wcB Do you know where to find the entire threaded stud? I have been digging as a couple of mind are screwed up. See photo

I used serrated nuts like the ones in this pic, when I reinstalled my dash. They worked just fine.

I doubt those are readily available. If they are then I would expect Auveco would have them - dig up one of their catalogs on the internet then go searching for the part number.

The easiest answer is probably posting a parts-wanted ad here. I bet someone would send you a few for a song.
