can a hardtop door fit on a convertible??

hey fellas. question for all... I proudly own a 65 Olds Cutlass. I bought a parts car Hardtop Cutlass for the convertible. Now i want to know if i remove the both doors from the hardtop will it fit on the convertible?? because on the hardtop its a power window and the convertible is manual. before i even take the doors off i wanted some suggestions. Your help is always appreciated.

respect fully J'

I'm not as well versed in the 1964-65 stuff as 70-72. If there is a difference it will likely be in the wing window. I know the 70-72 convertible windshields are different than the hardtop ones. If you have them both there I'd take some measurements to see. John

Door shells are the same, you'll have to switch glass and regulators to make the swap.

You also need to transfer the wedge plate from the rear edge of the convertible door.

I did use non post 64 doors on a 64 conv and changed nothing. Glass is curved like the conv... That was many years ago but I think my memory is correct. This was a 64 Cutlass

That's the ONLY thing I would have expected would be different. I had a '66 convertible with a hardtop coupe door, noted it was not drilled for those plates.

So basically, thats the only diffrent?? I hate to do all the work and find out that its not the right size. I was told that Convertible and Hardtop may be diffrent like in inches ?? I just want to avoid all the heavy work. I notice that I would need to drill a hole for the wirering (Power window) for the convertible.

the more information i can get, the better!..

I'm aiming completion of summer of this year. I want to take my family on our convertible Cutlass. Kids are exited!!!!
