Valve Stem Length 1964 330?

Hi,
Does anyone know the correct Valve Stem Length for the 1964 330? I know it's not 1.89". I've been searching for this spec for days.
Thanks.

If you're talking about valve spring height, an automotive machine shop should be able to help you, or a cam manufacturer's website.

I assume you are meaning valve stem installed height. I don't have an exact answer for you on the (specific to) 1964 heads, but I just checked what appears to be a virgin head and they are at 1.760. I would equalize all of them at or near this height and shim / grind the stands accordingly to end up with about .020 to .040 lifter preload. For more valve stem height, click here: http://www.supercarsunlimited.com/in.../stem/stem.htm

Hope this helps
