My build sheet has option code "AV3" listed for 3 point seat belts, but the specs manual lists "AK1" as the shoulder belt option. Does my build sheet have a typo, or is the AV3 option not listed in the specs manual?
RPO AV3 was the three point seat/shoulder belts with the provision for the interlock switch for the FASTEN SEAT BELT light. This was federally mandated on cars built after Jan 1, 1972. The ordering RPO code (AK1) didn't change, but the assembly line RPO code did since the hardware was different.
