89 cutless cierra belt tensioner bracket/assembly

Okay so I went to replace power sterring pump in my 89 olds cultess cierra sl she's a 3.3

The bracket/assembly part the holds tensioner pulley was cracked and a pieve had broken off

In the process of trying to remove the bracket we have run into an issue the bottom bolt seems to have 3 wires with a ground connected between 2 nuts. I cant get the nut off because wires keep spinning with it.

Any idea of what these wires are and how to get that fi al bolt off?

I know it's a weird question and I can't get a picture at all

Just praying someone knows something that can help because taking it to a garage is just not possible right now

Can you slide a open end wrench on the inner hex bolt/stud and hold it? Then another wrench or socket on outer nut. Remove outer nut, then slide off wires, then unscrew bolt/stud. I remember having to do that before. Those wires are probably grounds. Good luck, let us know how it goes.

Greg is correct. You should be able to use an open end wrench to loosen the nut and an allen/torx wrench to hold the stud if it's spinning. I've seen allen & torx bit studs used on the 3.8l in my 96 98. I replaced the tensioner with one from the salvage yard. On the 3.8l it actually is used as a coolant manifold to the heater core as well. Definitely a PITA!
