68' 442 grille emblem attaching

I know, dumb question. Just bought a 68' 442 and the grille emblem was broken and in the glovebox. I bought an authentic repop and it came with several pieces parts. Does anyone have a picture of exactly how this emblem is supposed to attach to the grille?
Thanks!!!

The little tabs that it comes with go over the posts on the backside of the grille and provide a flat mounting surface for the nuts. They only fit correctly one way, so it will be pretty obvious once you try it.

Thanks Joe. May be obvious to most. LOL
I took the grille out and have it on the counter. There are two angle brackets, two nut plates and two universal nuts in the kit. I tried assembling but it just doesn't go together right or I have leftover parts. And that's never a good sign.
Just wanted to make sure before I assemble it. I may need to post a picture of what I received in the kit.

I'm not sure what you mean by "nutplates" or "universal nuts", but the factory installation used the two sheetmetal plates and two stamped sheetmetal self threading "pal" nuts. Insert the emblem studs into the grille holes. The brackets go one on each stud such that the bracket aligns with the angled backside of the grille and provides a flat surface for the nut that is perpendicular to the stud on the emblem. This flat part should be raised off the backside of the grille, not down into it. Thread the pal nuts onto the studs and you're done.

Will post a picture this evening. The "nutplates" included in the kit are similar to blind nuts but aren't complete clip type, just simple plates that accept screws. Sorry, but my description may be lacking technically.
And the self threading "pal" nuts are what I was calling the universal nuts.

Another example of misnomer causing confusion. Probably best that I wait for the service CD to have the correct technical jargon for the parts I'm working with before posting.
Greatly appreciate your help and guidance!!!

For what it's worth, here is how my grill numbers are attached. Pics are from the back side of the grill looking down, driver side first and passenger side next. Hope this helps!

Randy, that absolutely helps. Thanks!!!
I need pictures and diagrams with step by step instructions at times. Of course they only give me crayons and toilet paper to write with. LOL
Seriously, there were two semi-blind nut plates included that was confusing me. I see no place for them on this emblem install. And just wanted to make sure. I'll take a picture of the hardware sent this evening.
Thanks again!!!

The installation diagram is also in the assembly manual.

Here's the pieces/parts included with the new emblem. And why I was corn-fused.

What you have will work but, based on the assembly manual pic above, I don't think it's original

I think that's what I got with my Fusick repro emblem too

Randy, Is your's original?

Left picture, the two bottom pieces (what I called blind nut) were what I couldn't figure out. See no need for them. Thanks for posting the assembly picture. That manual sure will come in handy when it arrives.
Appreciate the help!!!
