307 aluminum intake value
I’ve got a factory aluminum intake that came off an 80’s 442 I don’t I’ll end up using it for what I plan to do does anybody know if it’s worth any thing or would it be a waste of time to sell and just keep it up on a shelf

Square port or peanut port? Normal square ports CAN work on just about any 60s-mid-80s SBO's. The issue is they're made with EGR in mind from the get go. And they're the typical flattish, 2 plane intake. Nice for the street cruiser, but not any performance gains. You can plug the ports and EGR nozzles, but performance? Not really. They came on nearly every 83-up 307 in slight variations. The roller cam engines (85 Y and 86-90 Y and 9) used the peanut port intake, and that was even more choked off. The square port (normal size) was used on 307 Y and 9 through 84, and 85 VIN 9 only. 1985 was a weird year. The VIN 9 was flat tappet and the VIN Y was a roller.
Got a pic of top and bottom? It'd be easy to tell. The "desirable" intakes have a A4 on the top and bottom of the intake. The peanut ports have A5.
307 aluminum intakes have this propensity to corrode up in the corners and around the water outlet. So if it's a leaker, that would suck.
If you have a straight, clean, nice example of an A4, like an NOS or close to it, those would probably the more desirable ones, but even then, it's not like a W455 intake. Unless someone is restoring a car and needed it, I doubt if it would bring big bucks, if that's what you're looking for. 307s came with aluminum intakes on most all of them in different variations, so it's not like a rare piece.
