Which Manifold for a 455

I was wondering which exhaust manifolds to use for a 455 , the driver side one on my 72 CS 350 angles down , leaving the exhaust a little close to the ground. The 455 came out of a Toro so I cant use the exhaust manifolds that are on there....is there a specific code / serial number besides W Z to shorten my search on ebay or cl ? ..... I thought I asked this before , but cant seem to find that thread . Thanks in advance.

Yes. You can also use the LH "X" 412287 manifold from the 1973-74 big block cars. This manifold has individual runners like the "W" manifold and was paired with the "Z" in 1973-74 applications. Note that there is another "X" manifold (389269) that was used on the 1965-68 cars. This early manifold will work but it does not have the individual runners that the later manifold has.

I seen a picture of the manifolds i mentioned and the one manifold seemed to have a strange angle on the exhaust port .....maybe it just looked odd in the pic

looked at the pic again and the driver side exhaust manifold seems to angle down and to the side a bit......there is not a whole lot of room between that and the frame where the lower A-frame hooks up....anyone ever have a clearence issue ?

That looks pretty standard for what I've seen. You may want to confirm what the outlet size is when you buy them. Some are manufactured with 2 1/4' which may be more desirable for you but isn't stock.
