I was just wondering what you all use to clean oil/grease stains off your driveways. I've tried Super Clean but it didn't do a very good job.

 

Gasoline and diluted dish soap and let it sit.

 

Once it's really stained there is not much you can do.

 

After you get as much out as you can, you might try muriatic acid or battery acid., but shadows will probably still be there. Try not to get it on any plants or they will die... Tedd

I've tried lot of things over the years and nothing worked.

 

When it has been there a long time you can put floor dry on it and leave for as long as you can. Drive cars , mowers, whatever over it and walk and scrape shoes over it to break up floor dry and get oil wicked up into the clay. This works great in the garage, I guess it would work outside on driveway as long as no rain came.

 

I've used this before and it works ok. Like others said, once it's stained then it won't really come out.

 

For a concrete surface I have found Pour-N-Restore does a super job

 

You can use Krud Kutter OG326 OG32 Grabber Oil Stain Remover or Simple Green (not diluted). They key is where others have failed is to follow up with a pressure washer, better if you can use/rent a hot water one.

 

Ive used this method for many years(decades actually). I also pour lacquer thinner first, brush in with a stiff push broom, then cover with the oil dry, and crush it in.

 

Not sure what material your driveway is but on my concrete driveway I use Dawn dish soap straight pour it on let it sit and when it rains stain is gone.
