‘71 Console Harness Question ...

I’ve had a very nice console stored for 10+ years and I’ve just completed restoring it for a conversion in my ‘71. The console I bought years ago was apparently out of a ‘70, which has a different harness. I had purchased a new harness for my correct year, but I don’t know where the extra black wires with the silver clip go. Is it

2 black wires with clip.

some sort of ground? I’ve included pictures of the wire in question. On a related topic, I have a flawless original console and console extension harness for a ‘70 that I’ll sell. Both are original and about as nice as it gets. I’ve included a picture of the console harness. Any help with an answer to my question is really appreciated!

Pretty sure the clip is a ground to body of car and two black wires go to the door plunger that I don't see?

Yes, I have the plunger removed because it threads into the inserts. It’s the other black wire(s) that’s in question. I just don’t know where to clip it.
