I had a couple friends come over and help install the hood and get the old girl outside,
so I can paint the trunk with Zolatone.
After that she will go to the body shop for a paint job.

There is plenty of paint on it already!

It's a lot closer than mine.
At least you have windows and an interior in it

We were joking , that we should put a seat and a rollbar in it.
And take it out to Orlando Speedworld, and enter it in the "Runabout" class.

I buttoned up the underside of the 67 and got it off jack stands today. Fired it up and rolled in first and reverse( in the garage) to make sure my clutch was disengaging properly. Hoping to get it out of the garage tomorrow for a test drive.

I don't know about you guys but I don't build my stuff so aggressive that I can't DD them if I want. That defeats the purpose of enjoyment. Doing a Stage 2 cam on my 99 C5 this week. Was going to Supercharge it but I thought it might render it less drivable. Maybe next year when I'm bored with it again. Olds has a Tremec in it. 5 speed. Daily use is definitely on the menu.

I was able to get it out of the garage today, it snowed so I did not do much of a test drive.

Kudos to you for working on the car in the freeze! Concrete is no man's friend north of 35.

I have wood stove I run in the garage, you’ll never get anything done in WA if you wait for the weather.

Had a Encore Defiant wood burning stove in the last garage! And I mean, "Last Garage!" I may never own another!

Was it the stoves fault? What happened? I love wood stoves but I like my garage and the things that are in it more.

"It was really loud!" So I ran it for 45 minutes! LOL! Reminds me of starting my rebuilt small block Chevelle at 16 years old. Had to do it open headers. The neighbors came to the window to see what was going on. Hot Rodding was going on!

Patching up past sins....

There are/were 16 3/8 holes and 4 5/16". Need to make a trans tunnel to clear the Gear Vendors and make a hoop underneath to cap the seat brace.

Attempting to get my 72 Supreme Convertible out of the barn this year. Sending a few things out to get plated today and while under the car last night, I saw something through one of the cutouts in the frame and found these. I wonder if there are other nuts and bolts rolling around in there. These were just behind the steering box. I've owned this car since 1994 and have no idea how they got there - maybe they've been there since I've owned it - who knows.

Interesting that the spring Carlisle show is this weekend. I bought my car there at that show in 1994! My how time flies . . . .

What have you done to your Oldsmobile today?

I stood in the garage looking at it, making a mental list of what I need to accomplish before it's road worthy again. Arguably not that much, but I think I might need to take a "sick" day at work and dedicate a day to it. Time seems to slip through my fingers, and if I don't make a point of completing it, it'll be snowing again and I'll be kicking myself.

Been working on the center console. I mounted the Gear Vendors control switch in the new Parts Place base. I was trying to clean the coffee and polish out the little grooves, then things went awry. The acetone lifted the paint, and here I am way deeper than expected. 🤣
Once the flocking kit shows up, I can finish the back.

The rear light has been sketchy for a while. It wasn't the right setup, so I made a bracket to hold some 194 sockets and LED bulbs.

Finished it up with a 2pin Deutsch connector.

Been working on getting rid of the corrugated split loom and generally tidying things up. Also, got the new clutch slip valve installed.

Thank you, I have tinkered with them my whole life. That's the joy of it. My Youtube videos, which aren't meant for more than documenting them for my kids and friends, has a couple different things in them.

It's alive

Finally have the V CODE 1972 Cutlass running again. New HEI distributor and back to cast iron intake and quadrajet carburetor with dual inlet air cleaner on top. Needs to have antifreeze topped off and she will be ready to run through the gears. Time to go to the racing fuel store and buy more 110 octane fuel....
