Trunk won't open

So I'm out driving the car around today, opened and closed the trunk several times with no issues, never had any issues opening the trunk before. I go to open it and I get nothing. The key won't even turn a little. Anyone got any ideas as to why this might have happened? I got a spare key that I'm going to try tomorrow and worst case i can go through the back seat. Just curious as to why this all of the sudden happene .

Have you tried try some lubricant into the keyhole? Mine gets tight sometimes and I’ve loosened it up with CRC lube. Good luck

Be sure that you're using the correct key. If it is and the lube doesn't loosen it up, do as you said about going through the back seat. Try to identify the exact shortfall. Sometime an item in the truck can block the mechanism. Perhaps the cylinder failed. Best wishes.

So tried my extra key and also the lube route but trunk still won't. I got the rear seat out and can see the latch, gonna need to get a socket extension, my arm ain't that long. Question, which screws/bolts am i loosening/removing in order to get my trunk open? I can set a couple sets but not entirely sure which one it is that'll do the trick

Sorry not sure on that - but you may try some lube from inside trunk, it won’t hurt to bathe everything and see if it might loosen up before you start unscrewing things. Good luck and you’ll get it done - stay positive
