Steering Wheel

Will a steering wheel from a 71 Cutlass fit a 68 Cutlass. That is before the ignition lock was on the column to when it was and is.

Thanks All

The splines are the same, but the column isn't as large so the wheel base sticks out passed the top of the column.

If your real question is, can you put a four spoke sport wheel on a smaller diameter early column, the answer is yes, however as noted the hub will be larger in diameter than the column and looks a little silly. The solution is to use the hub from a 1965-66 Impala two-spoke wheel that is the right diameter and has the same six screw pattern for the wheel. These are available from Chevy repro houses.
