Spring MAW
Dear All,
Anyone wake up in the morning, realise it's summer, then also realise that you didn't work on the million projects you planned on doing over the winter on your car?
If i get started now, my car will most indefinitely be ready for December..
Just thought i'd share the pain, Feel free to comment. It's my 10th anniversary of having this car, and i've always planned on it, but never lift a finger over the winter lol
Speaking of which, anyone have a W-25 hood they want to offload? My steel hood is rusting out from the inside..
- Tony

Tony, I think most folks have that problem. I got an electric fan for my 71 98 for Christmas that hasn't been installed yet.
I guess I'm waiting for it to be blazing hot outside so I can do the work in my garage with the fan blowing and the door up.

Boy, do i know the feeling, i have:
- Rear Control arm bushings to install
- Transmission oil change and filter
- Fender stainless polish and installation
- Carb rebuild
- Find and install a new (to me) fiberglass hood
- Rear bumper purchase and install
- Inlinetube or Classic Exhaust purchase and convert my car from single to duals
And here's the big ticket item: Cut and Buff the car from when i painted it 4 years ago. Gotta love that orange peel

Hey Tony,
Gotcha beat. Haven't worked on my car for almost 3 years now, but it's time now. Sounds like you're going to have the same fun I did with my rear suspension. Easier to change those bushings if you pull the rear end. Hint hint.
What kind of bumper you looking for? I still have my old one stored in the shed if you're interested.
Did you change to a 4 bbl or is it still a 2GC carb?

Al,
Great to hear from you! It's been about the same for me. I moved out to Halifax from Quebec and finally bought a house so i'll have a place to store and work on my car.
I'm just looking for a bumper that's in great shape chrome wise, the current one on the car has no rust, but the chrome is peeling quite badly (sadly there's nowhere around here that has a chrome tank big enough). I've been looking around at Tamraz and a few other places but havn't pulled the trigger yet.
I WOULD like to give that rear end a nice paint job... uh oh.

Congrats on the house purchase. I know how scary that can be.
My old bumper is in great shape and the chrome looks like new. Raining here today, but I can take pics of it if you're interested. Actually you can see pics of it in my rear end rebuild thread.

If you say the bumper is in great shape than i trust you! no need for pictures. I just saw your PM and replied to it.
P.s: any chance you have a W-25 hood hiding back there in the shed?

JK I WISH I had a W-25 hood. The 'real' ones have become insanely expensive and so have the underhood parts to make them functional.
Check your PMs.

I've heard really great things about the Thorton hoods but i just can't seem to bite the bullet and pay the 3500 USD that is required to get my hands on one..
Sometimes those "all fiberglass" hoods come up on the equipment exchange. I wonder if they would hold up over the long term.
