Just want to say I'm really happy with the Denso TT Spark plugs I just got. What are you guys running?

They come pre-gapped at (.040)

This gap is actually the same as (.060) on a NON Twin Tip plug.

making the difference of () to ( ) for spark efficiency ......so they say =.=

 

I run ac delco just took the crapy auto light out and changed to hei . To be honest don't really feel a difference .

 

champions have been my choice for a long time. gapped to .045 for the hei.

 

I noticed a difference - The plugs in mine were copper tipped and number 8 was fouled a bit ..... after putting the Titanium's in it's like sippin a bottle of Muddy Water and a nice walk on the beach =P

Those are spendy =P Mine were like 3 bux a pop

A/C Delco with .040 gap even with HEI. I've also used Champion copper cores - they are a great plug too.

 

We have a variety, nice. =) Anybody out there used Denso's before?

 

NGK 3332's in an iron head gapped at .040"

NGK BKRE6-11's in the Edelbrock's gapped at .045"

 

Me & Champions never got along.

Don't think I was ever able to work with a set of them ... without breaking at least one.

Never had that issue with any other plugs.

I broke 6 out of 8 autolites taking them out =0

 

I use Champions, I don't find them to be expensive. Iron heads, HEI, .060. You should always check the gap, even if they come pre-gapped. I have never broken a spark plug, I don't know what to attribute this to.

 

well the center plugs on each side are right next to the A.I.R tubes and make it very hard to fit the socket around the head of the plug, passenger side i went in through the wheel well with the wheel off, also they were way over-tightened by PO who informed me of the tune up he did prior to selling. I removed the canister from the air pump today along with a couple hoses which cleared a few things up, but still have to remove and plug the A.I.R. tubes at the heads to get rid of another hose..... It disgusts me to look under my hood ATM because of how messy it is with all the vacuum lines and such.

In the Delta I run AC Delco plugs with the correct gap (can't remember what it is at the moment).

A week ago, I put a set of NGK V-Power plugs in the Cutlass, but haven't really driven it much yet.

 

69-70 455's A/C delco R 45 S.
Seem to work well for me.
Kinda hard to find sometimes though.
Iron heads, C's on one, G's on the other.

 

Running R46ZS gapped at 60. Also ran R45 @ 40 recently but trying to 46's @ 60 since it was recommended factory replacement for a 76 with #8 heads... seems to run the same with either plug. Have yet to notice a difference except maybe a tad smoother idle with the 46's.

 

.060 is the correct gap for the Delta.
