Talking Screw question

Can the self tapping , coarse thread 7/8 used for the SS1 centre caps, be used on the SS2 bolt on caps?....or am I barking up the wrong tree

Thanks,

You sure they're self tapping? The holes in my SSIIs are threaded and not at all like a coarse thread self tapper.

Just checked the ILT catalogue for wheel trim. Hmmm, they could be self tappers looking at the pic. INL 12100 SSII Center Cap Screws $14.95 Set.

Yes they are a sheet metal/ self tapping thread. Not a NF or NC type machine thread. Iirc #14 -14tpi x 1" Somewhere I had a thread reply with the correct specs , if I could only search with the iphoney.

I was worried this thread was going to be a discussion about the birds and the bees.
