racing at 2010 OCA Nationals

Sam Murray is trying to coordinate a drag race at Lebanon Valley (an hour away from Sturbridge, MA) during the 2010 Nationals. It will probably be on Saturday, July 24, 2010. Sam holds the J/S NHRA record with his 72 cutlass, and about 3 years ago held the D/S record with his re-created 1967 "Brainbeau" W30.
Please post if interested in this drag race event.

Might be tough getting a car count because Norwalk is scheduled for the weekend before that July 18, people might not have the budget to do both. Is it a one day race or a weekend deal? I'm plan on going to Norwalk but I would be interested in maybe coming up there also.

Hmm, might bring the wagon for a fun run. Planning on being there for 4 days so by Saturday we might need a change of scenery.

Question

I wonder if my friend, would take out his 1904 Pie Wagon hot rod (455 with C heads), out for a run?

The OCA finally made race cars an integral part of the club and the show. Showing support back to them is a good idea, by bringing race cars and by racing whatever Oldsmobile you have at the show. We want ALL Oldsmobiles to be welcome and an integral part of the club, not just cars kept in ziploc baggies the rest of the year Racers give great exposure to the Olds marque all year long.

The Texas Zone show last month had about 60 cars and 2/3 of them raced at Denton Saturday night. If you have ever "out accelerated" a Ford, Mopar, Chevy, or GTO, why not race?
