Post 2010 Olds Nationals

HI Folks,

Question anybody going to the 2010 Oldsmobile Nationals and has a reserved room at the host hotel? If anybody is looking to share a room/split costs, please feel free to contact me (via PM) .

I figure I would out this out there, so I will not be in a bind in July.
Thank you.

No specific web site but you can find a link through the OCA web site (www.oldsclub.org) or our web site (www.neolds.com) to find the latest information. We will update our NEOC site on a regular basis as needed. I would be glad to answer any questions in the meantime.
Things are really looking good for 2010 and we're all excited.

The more the merrier! Bring 'em both
The swap meet area is immediately adjacent to the show field so you could probably vend and show.
Get your room reservations and show registrations in early though. We fully expect to meet our 450 car maximum limit

I plan to attend, and tow my race car (yes, there will be Class 19, Race Cars, in the show). If I can tow 2500 miles each way, I hope every race car that is closer will also be there Sam Murray holds the J/S record with his 72 Cutlass 350, and recently held the D/S record with his 67 W30. He will be there and is helping to organize a race at Lebanon Valley Raceway.

FYI, the host hotel is fully booked already and has been for over 2 months now. Im told there is a hotel directly across the street that also has the discounted Olds Club rate.

I also plan on attending with both of my cars.

Anyone know if on Saturday there will be racing like mentioned on a previous thread?

Were you planning to have that racing event on Friday or Saturday?
Like I told you on another Olds forum, I would like to check it out!

A bunch of answers here:
STICKW31 is working with Sam Murray, the performance chapter and others to organize racing for Oldsmobiles on Saturday. Stay tuned here and on ROP.
Yes, there will be a race car class #19. The registration form may not reflect this for a while but you can write it in on your registration form.
Our web site (www.neolds.com) has the latest information and lists all the hotels that we have blocked rooms in. All blocked rooms are less than $99/night and most are less than a mile from the show field.
Run to Rund - 2500 miles Fantastic But if you drive the race car in 1/4 mile speed times, you should be here in (1) day

You will not believe this, I was talking to a fellow who owns a '70 Toronado (non GT, VERY LOW 21,000 origanal, and origanl owner). Well, we were talking about this meet, and I told him of my situation.
In a nutshell I have a room (WED_Sat) to share with new Oldsmobile/Toronado friend !
But I still would like to get to the show on Monday, and help the NE Chapter with any set-ups.

Thanks Glen (with one "n").

In the meantime if anybody has any other questions you can PM me or send me an email at: info@casamperformance.com

Thanks for your support!!

I was thinking about heading down from Ontario if my car is ready. Looks like about 10 hours.
I could not seem to find the itinerary. Does anyone know what days the actual car show is on?

Again, all information can be found at www.neolds.com
But the dates are 7/21-7/25.
Toro68 - THANKS for the offer of help and glad you found an appropriate room mate and room.
We (NEOC) will need a lot of help on Tuesday laying out the showfield and show field control through the event.
E-mail me a gmorris01@aol.com and I will sign you up.
(Thanks for the one N recognition also)

NE Olds Club- take advantage of toro68's offer. He's good help. We worked him hard in Greensboro in 1995! Has it really been 15 years???

Right now it's looking real doubtful for me to get there. One of the other guys in my office posted that week for vacation and only one of us can be off at a time. Had kinda wanted to go, too.

Back in 2002, at the Nationals in NJ, the room rate was over $200/night.
I got it knocked down to $189/night with my AAA discount.

I'll have to peice-meal my registration, due to the fact I lost my part-time job at Maine Cottage a year ago (worked there from July 2002-Jan 2009), but I'm darn luck I still have a full-time job!
Plus if my brother Steve can come along, he can trailer my red 1968 W-34 (I know that is an evil term with Rocketradier) and haul the goodies I might vendor at the show.
After all that turd ownes me big time.
Back in Oct. of 1988 he was going to pick up, at my school, in Bangor ,Maine. The fool was driving my silver 1968 Toronado, raced a late model Mustang GT, he "beat" him (claimed he did 145 mph), but wrecked the 455 (destryed O ring, running on 7 cylinders and used 7-9 quarts of oil to get home.
Jan of 1989, I paid the $1200 to fix the motor and little brother got away scott free. And to think I willed the red W-34 to him.

You mean rooms left in the overflow hotels, correct? I know the Host hotel is full.....at least that's what they told me!

Would love to bring my car down but I think it would cost me my whole summers worth of gas to drive it down there.

ent72olds...yes the host hotel is booked. But we have other hotels backing us up in Sturbridge [again www.neolds.com for a list] at the same or lesser rate. And, always call the host hotel first because some reserved rooms may be freed up at any given time.

A bunch of folks from the ACNA (Aurora Club of N. America), are pretty pumped-up about this event!

I have heard (and seen) in the past, the weak showing of E body cars (Toroandos and Auroras), in the Mass Oldsmobile shows , not that I 'm tring to put down any other models. Heck I would like to aquire an mint 1963 Starfire, someday!
