Question about parts place bumpers

Have anybody brought bumpers from here? If so, how do they fit?

I bought a front bumper for my 72 from TPP. The finish is good. not great but good. I am still in the process of getting it lined up. Not sure if it is the bumper or my brackets but I cannot get it to adjust far enough to the right. There is a gap of about 3/4" on the left side and it is tight to the fender on the right. I plan to modify the brackets adjusting holes a bit to correct the issue.

Did you try adjusting your core support? I think it has a little lateral adjustment that might help. On my '72, I had the same problem with a rechromed GM bumper. Even with the core support adjusted all the way to the RH side, I was still too tight on the LH bumper to fender gap. I eventually had to elongate the bumper bracket mounting holes where the bumper bolts to the bracket to get it to line up correctly.

Careful of the chineamium offshore junk. Get a good core and have it re-chromed. Most of the time the bumper shops will have a supply of cores. Northstar (I believe Keystone may have bought them out) in Minnesota and Paul's in PA are two good ones. North Star did my last set triple show. They are flawless!

My replacement bumper is noticeably lighter than the original. The chrome is OK and the fit was exact, but it is definitely thinner metal.

I got my front bumper from the parts place. I would call it driver quality. It has the chrome finish that I would compare to what moder trucks have kinda looks a little thin but it has a nice shine and and is not too cheap to where it will surface rust if you let water sit on it. I bought a bumper for my fiances k5 blazer from keystone and it rusted up from water sitting on it.
