question about 394 bolted to a saginaw

Hey guys, need to know how this would work. A 394 from 59 using a bell housing from a 324 55 Olds standard, can that bolt on with a Saginaw standard?

Thanks

I would think it would but that Saginaw was a weak transmissions with 200 HP, you stick almost twice the HP behind it and it will come apart faster than you can imagine. If you need a 3 speed transmission try and find one(very hard) out of a 37 Cad or La Sal, they are bullet proof and will bolt up with out any modification (may need to bore a pilot bearing hole). That was the hot setup back in the hot rod days of the early 6o's. The Saginaw never made the cut...Tedd
