I work for what was ray olds which is now highland park lexus. I drove my olds to work one day and they filled me in on the history . The service manager was an olds tech way back when. I was just looking at this thread and found it intresting.

 

Had this copied from someones car for sale fleebay or CL. It looks real to me!

 

Mine was bought new 11-13-1969 at Jim Letts Oldsmobile. Peachtree Ave, Atlanta Georgia..and never left the Atlanta area until 1-11-2013 when it was sold and shipped to me on Long Island NY.

I see no mention whatsoever of ROW OLDS !! anyone have any info on this dealership? ROW OLDS dealer emblem found on the left corner of my trunklid of my 68 when purchased in early 80's. I have seen 1 picture of their logo on a 68 Olds race car. racing sponsor? anyone know?

 

Weren't they in Grand Rapids? I remember the name, I believe that they later became the Olds dealer by Eastbrook Mall, S%#T, can't remember their name either, and I use to go there alot...looking at '79 H/O's and a '80 442, trying to see if I could afford one! Dale Baker Oldsmobile! I'm pretty sure was formerly Rowe Olds.

 

Well, after a quick search, it turns out that I was wrong about that.

 

you may be right Dan, the car came from GR and apparently has been in MI all its life. thanks I will look into it.

 

TK-65 Can you confirm 30-014 as AHRENS in Madison WI during 1967?

There is a post within this thread about a '69 H/O sold at AHRENS but the dealer code listed is 30-104.

The Olds dealer in Abilene Texas was Rocket Olds. Address was on South 1st Street.

Dont have it yet. Zone 27 was gone by 1985, so its not on the Stohlman list either.

 

Cant confirm it, but the pics confirm it. I didnt see the other post but a protecto plate with the code 014 is proof enough for me. I dont think that was something the dealer would mess up. There may have been two Ahrens dealers in Madison. Not uncommon to have two or three dealerships, sometimes in the same town if its a major metropolitan area.

I have a window sticker from McKelvey-Kessler Olds, in Ferguson, from 1968. Code is 12-477.

 

My bad. Thanks for the correction. I had a protect-o-plate booklet from another car in my McKelvey dealer folder by mistake. So now I want to know who's dealership is #12-185 because the page with the dealer name and address is missing from the booklet. It's from a 1964 Cutlass that I bought in Kirkwood Missouri and owned in the early 80's. The McKelvey-Kessler folder I have came from a 1964 F-85 I bought from a neighbor when I lived in Ferguson, MO. Excellent cars that I wish I still had. Both were totalled by careless oncoming drivers....and this was before cell phones and other modern distractions.

 

I know it's a long shot, but would anybody have a photo of Carmichael Oldsmobile Inc. Beaverton, Oregon, maybe from the 60s or early 70s if possible.

John, you might contact Supercarsunlimited located in Portland Oregon. I know Greg has been in the Portland area for a long time and may have or know somebody who might have pictures of that dealership. There's several communities that have kinda been swallowed by Portland as they grew together. Beaverton is one of them.
