I have a typed list of the Newark Zone codes that was in the Service Guild I bought (circa 68-69). It had been the property of a guy named Hub Weinheimer, who evidently was an Oldsmobile District Rep, probably for parts.

Building is still there. its nw a Fireplace store and a Bicycle shop. If you look at Ebay seller "Popcornjohn", he has a lot of great pictures of vintage Oldsmobile dealerships. Some with that huge orange rocket on the roof.

Many of the Ebay listings include the address as welll. Whats interesting is to Google the address and hit "street view". Many times the building is still there, just repurposed.

 

Did anyone else pick up on that directory page containing both Baldwin Chevrolet and Markowitz Oldsmobile? MOTION, BABY!

Yep, it was actually Bruce Oldsmobile around 68. Shortly after it became Jim Fallon, then Merry.

The building was knocked down and they built a CVS pharmacy on the site

 

I know it was Merry by 1974 We had a '74 Delta 88 with a Merry sticker on the trunk lid

Thats what gets confusing with setting up a database. Many of these dealers changed hands. My ex girlfriends 72 Cutlass had a Jim Fallon emblem on the back.

Another example- Addy Olds at 268 N Main St, Feeport, NY became Barash Olds.

I may have information in my 87 442 on Sweany Olds, in Columbus, Indiana....got to check the information in the glove box.

 

Checked the glovebox in my '87, and sure enough, there on the warranty information, on the back, was the selling dealer's imprint, with what looks to be a dealer code, 11560. Pretty cool to have the documentation with the original date of sale, mileage, etc.

I happen to have a '64 Olds warranty booklet w/ this dealership info. They list the city as just Babylon, NY, and the code is 02-634.

I'm pretty sure the person who bought this car in '64 is long gone, as there's nothing on her on the Web, period.
I guess it was a woman, and her name was:

That '64 was bought at Norman Olds. My parents bought a couple of cars there, I remember being there a few times One was a brand new 1969 F-85 Club coupe in Aug. 1969. My '63 F-85 convertable was also bought there
