Nothing. It looks wrong. Tint didn't come in till a decade later. Maybe slightly stronger than normal tint of the same color.

Locally, either one of those would get you a fix-it ticket. At least on the front windows.

Smoke's not too bad, but mirror looks wrong for the model.

I'd go with the regular tint over the mirror.

If you must tint, definitely regular, but even lighter

You have a nice Vista Cruiser. Because of the advantages that you get from tinting I would do it. However I would go with the smoke for the rear doors and for the driver door and passenger front door I would go with a lighter legal smoke tint. Once you get marked for illegal tint it's like you become a magnet for every I need a simple ticket today cop.

Here is another reason base on personal experience. On my Syclone rear window which came from the factory with a gold tint. (That is 1 of the ways that you identify them) I had a smoke tint applied to it. While it has definitely done what it's supposed to do, it made the inside rear view mirror totally useless as it appears to be like a giant mirror inside the cab.

As John said, tint looks out of place for the time period of your car.

If your objective is to reduce interior heat, then look into 3M Crystalline film. I have this film on my modern Challenger and it does that job very well.

The two lightest tints are very subtle. I put tint one on the windshield and it is virtually undetectable.

All shades of Crystalline block more heat than 3M's darkest limousine tint that has only 6% light transmission. Inside the car, desert sun loses its pumch.

They block 99.9% of UV, so they will preserve your interior as well.

This is good advice. My son has a window tinting business so I'm very familiar with the MANY different options. I'm not really a fan of tinted windows - especially on "classic" cars, but clear tint is available that blocks a significant amount of UV and will keep your interior temps down.

What I can't understand is the constant need people have to crowdsource validation for things that should be a matter of personal preference. Do it however YOU think it looks best and who gives a f*ck what a bunch of guys on the internet think.

Thanks, the vista windows are factory tinted with a mirror effect, the numbers are embossed in the glass. That’s why I was considering Mirrored tints, with all the glass that is one hot car, when sitting in the sun for an hr or 2, or at a car show.

35% tint on all windows other than the windscreen. This is how I've done my modern cars anyway. Very pleased w/ the look and it's not illegal. Have some respect for the PO PO as they are the ones who have to walk up to your car while not knowing if there is a person sitting in that rear window w/ a gun. I'm all about making the Police LESS nervous. I must admit it though. I've been pulled over once in the last 10 years.

Bottom line? No tint.
