Right Outside Mirror - 1964-66 A-Body
I'm adding right outside mirrors to my fleet, matching their placement on the left side. A rhetorical question I suspect, but anything else to know before I drill?
Two things come to mind, the best location for sight line on the right side door may not exactly match that of the left side door and if the mirror has flat glass you would want to change the glass to convex. Both items have been addressed in this previous thread: https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...m_content=post. Hope this helps.
I would tape the mirror to the door and drive at low speed. It is amazing what you can't see out of a non-wide angle lens. You may find you don't want it. I find a right hand mirror to be useful in backing into a garage, and parallel parking. That's it for those old ones.
