The '69 Beeper beside me took home "best classic". Oh well, I had a 50/50 chance...lol.

 

Of course the Runner won best in class. Airboddy knows that when the trophy display takes up more space than the car does, the car is absolutely the best in the world. The judges better damn well know that and honor the car with the appropriate award, too!

There was a nothing-special 67 Chevelle here whose owner displayed every trophy the car had ever won every time he showed it. There were enough of them that you couldn't see the front of the car for them. I once counted 47 trophies and plaques in front of it. He also set up a full contingent of California Raisins on the aircleaner.

I always believed the only reason that car kept winning was because judges and popular vote saw all those trophies and thought the car was something really special. Believe me, it was not.

That's the only Cybertruck I've ever seen in the wild.

I try to keep an open mind about new fads and cars but some of the car shows now are 'anything go shows'. No disrespect to the owner but I don't get the point of the Camaro, I guess I really have gotten old, lol.

Not trying to hurt your feelings but, the Road Runner looks to be nicely done, probably well deserved.

 

Don't know why this guy bothers to open the hood. Unless he puts a few stools around the front that people could step up onto, few people are tall enough to see into the engine compartment.

 

First off, I will admit I am old. Now with that out of the way, I will express my opinion which is exactly what this is. There are some really nice cars there. The Camaro is 100% stupid. Who in the heck would spend that much money to make a car look that stupid. And then we have the truck above. That thing has not seen any mud in a long time. I doubt the owner even knows how to engage the 4-wheel drive. And he is likely one of those guys that drives in the left lane and wants to push everybody in front of him out of his way. Just my two cents with inflation is now worth three cents.

 

Poor taste has become an epidemic. Not long ago, people would be called out on their tacky trash but now it's been accepted under the excuse of "expressing yourself". I blame the UFC........don't ask me why, I just do LOL.

 

I'm not into guys bringing signs and trophies to an outdoor car show. I'd have voted for the Olds hands down!
