one would think there would be a number somewhere,i can find nothing, inside out or underneath.got it off ebay cheap, thought it would be a conversation piece on the car,and different. 2 dual jets maybe?

I will paste a portion of a post I made on a different thread here:

These photos illustrate the difference between a divorced choke manifold (the red big block manifold shown) and a hot-air choke manifold (the gold small block manifold shown), a well as the difference between a big block manifold and a small block manifold.

Red 1968 Big Block Manifold with Divorced Choke on Right

Intake

I need a 1970 455 aluminum factory intake for my project. Do you still have one of these for sale?

I just figured out that the manifold that I bought to go into my 1972 Vista Cruiser was for a 1966 to 1969, according to Rocketscience's thread here:

https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...-thread-3.html

I guess I missed the divorced choke detail or didn't understand what that was, when I compared the casting numbers near the "firing order" on both manifolds.

So now, it looks like I still need a manifold for a 1972 350 if anyone has one.

Specifically, 398663 is 1968-69. The 66-67 intakes have a different shape on the choke stove pocket and a different casting number.

Factory experimental dual Qjet cross ram for BBO

Joe, that's some bling. Now I know what it is. Do you have it or just a picture ? Did anyone make a similar manifold ?

A picture of the 1965 only square-bore Big Block (400/425) 4bbl intake. Letter code: "B" GM PN: 384439
Interestingly even though it's referred to as a square bore manifold the bore sizes are different. The front measures approximately 1.56" while the secondaries are 1.69"

I really rare Jetfire turbo intake with the SAMPLE cast into it. Nobody really knows what the SAMPLE was about but I only know of 2 of these out there.

Decided to take a better picture of now rare but basically worthless 1972 Oldsmobile small block 2bbl intake manifold 13-410670 before I scrap this one - thus making it even rarer.

As seen in post: https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/general-discussion-33/oldsmobile-intake-thread-19975/page3/#post531582

Cool thread. I’ve always wondered what was out there for the Olds 455. Here are my two offerings, pretty redundant now. Professional Products Crosswind 57026 & Holley Street Dominator. The HSD is possibly going to have a Brodix Turtle installed to cover the EGR hole at the bottom of the plenum. Research has brought up mixed thoughts on that.

Dual plane Air Gap manifold that is 6.25” tall. Might have fitment issues in my 67CS.

Single plane intake that is about an inch shorter than the dual plane.

When pondering ways of filling the hole on the plenum floor I thought maybe this can be useful. Thoughts?

I doubt it hurts on a street car. My understanding is they work better at higher rpm.
