I wouldn't give anyone any flack because their Oldsmobile is Chevy powered. I like Oldsmobiles because of the way they look, not because they are Oldsmobile powered. I have been tempted to put a 598ci BBC in my Omega because it wouldn't be anymore expensive than building a smaller cubic inch BB oldsmobile.

I'm 16. My Olds is a 1969 Hurst/Olds tribute. Got it 2 years ago as a 442 parts car. Then it was restored by me and my Dad.

37, my first car was a 71 Cutlass Supreme when I was 17 and been hooked every since. Other classics - another 71 Cutlass S, 70 Skylark Custom, 73 Cutlass Supreme & 3 72 Cutlass Supreme's. I still have one left which I don't plan on parting with.

I'm 54 as of today. My current Olds, a 1968 Olds Cutlass S is the first Olds that I have owned. My first car was a 1950 Ford Pickup which had the old flathead engine. Since it was the early 1970's I hot-rodded it, painted a mural on the back of the cab, put in the customary green **** carpet, naugahyde tail gate, 8-track player, black velvet Hurst shift handle, and slotted American Mags. Numerous other cars, but the only other ones of interest was a 1960 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite, and a very brief ownership of a 1968 Triumph TR250.

I'm 43. My first new car was a 1985 Olds 442. Had quite a few various Oldsmobiles from the 60's-80's. Grew up around Olds. My family started buying them new ever since the 40's. Current project is my 1955 Olds 98 Holiday sedan.

I'm 19. I learned to drive in an 87 Cutlass Ciera, and later bought the car after my mom sold it. It was my first car. I've since owned an 83 Custom Cruiser (had to replace the trans) and currently own a 96 Cutlass Ciera. I really would prefer to be in an early 70's Ninety Eight, or Cutlass, but I like the design of my Ciera, and the price was right.

i'm 42, bought my first car a '76 442 when i was 14 and just sold it a couple years ago... the iowa roads had taken their toll on the undercarriage and with the child support the way it was at the time it was time to let her go to someone who could do something with her before it was too far gone. owned a 1988 calais and a 93 cutlass supreme during the " married years" and on sept. 2nd i got "Granny Green" a '70 town sedan that was built in 11/69... me? 1/69...

Just turned 41. ugh. I sure don't feel like it. I guess that's a good thing.
My first car was a 73 Buick Gran Sport w/455. You know, the big Century/Regal body.
I've had many many great 60's/70's cars from all of the Big 3.
This year I sold my 68 Barracuda Formula S, 77 W72 4 speed Trans Am, and my Triumph Daytona because I really wanted a 70-72 Cutlass.
Finally I found the one, and am currently the very happy owner of a 70 SX Convertible!

Hey Guys, I'm fastly approaching 71 and have been hands-on involved with Olds for over than 35 years. Olds Club Am member for 35 years. Recently found CO and really enjoy the sharing the good fun and fellowship. My focus is mid 50's and 60's. Projects include '50 tin woodie, '55 starfire, '55 88 coupe to be a street rod, '56 98 holiday sedan, '66 toronado. And yes, I've been driving a '70 Supreme CV for 24 years. It's on it's 3rd rebuild now. I've put well over 200K miles on it myself. The Cutlass are like freckles, everybody has at least one.

I know this is 3 year old thread, but I really liked the idea of knowing the age demographic of my fellow Olds-lovers, so I voted to add myself to the chart.
I turned 50 this year and my first car was a '71 Cutlass Supreme convertible, that I had to reassemble mostly on my own. My dad was a diesel truck mechanic and I thought dad was gonna build me a sweet car; but dad had other plans. He bought me a chassis manual and a Fisher Body manual and told me he was available if I needed help or had any questions. That's how I learned about auto mechanics and became an Olds-guy. Thanks dad1

'71 Cutlass Supreme convertible, 350-4BB, Matador Red w/pearl bucket interior
'72 Cutlass Supreme hardtop, 350-2BB, Nutmeg Irid w/black bucket interior
'71 Cutlass Supreme hardtop, 350-4BB, Viking Blue w/ pearl bucket interior (avatar pic)
My current project:
'72 442 convertible (resto-mod clone), ?? Viking Blue w/white bucket interior

Just joined in June and first time I have seen this posting. Thought I better post my age to help us old guys balance out the demographic scale. I am 71, my first Oldsmobile encounter was through my job. I drove the Delmont 88 Police Apprehender from 1965 until Olds quit making patrol cars in the 70's. The 1968 thru 1970 were the best patrol cars ever made. We routinely had the State Police Plymouth 440's and 426 Hemi's watching our taillights. The first Olds I owned was a new 1972 Cutlass Supreme 2dr two-tone green. I now own a 1970 Cutlass Supreme SX.

I am 37, had my cutlass since I was 23.
Still have my first car that I got when I was 16, my 69 Chevelle SS.
I also own a 67 impala SS, 68 C-10, 70 Monte Carlo SS 454 and recently acquired 57 Chevy Cameo.
Next car will be 66-67 442.
Wife drives a 2013 suburban(3 kids, 8, 4 and 2).

My DD (don't laugh) is 2014 Camry hybrid.

Oh yeah and I hate huge wheels on old school cars.

I am 45 now but my first car was a 68 LeMans 350 4 speed car I got from my brother in law who was driving a 86 Cutlass then got me hooked in the cars of the late 60's era. Nearly ended up with a 68 Road Runner 383 4speed then too. My buddy back then had a cool blue 74 350 Cutlass with white buckets I liked it alot. That was a good car. Another friend had a 70 Cutlass Supreme convertible in a dark Forest Green so I had some Olds around me and they always were appealing but seemed expensive even back then in the 80's. Was lucky to get to test drive a one owner nice original 70 Cutlass SX 455 2 barrel car, that was a good experience. Saw that darned Rallye 350 in the junkyard in the 80's and that had me hooked on those ever since and finally over 28 years later its happening..LOL Also did get to see a real deal 68 silver/black Hurst Olds 455 a couple years ago in Dallas. Thats was cool.
I am fortunate to have grown up in the Dallas area as we had a few of the rarer cars around with the big market area.
