Great news about your kid. Mine is just about to turn 16 and he wants his daily to be my Cruiser... not gonna happen.

I totally get what you're saying about the ex too... Mine hated the Cruiser, couldn't fix even the simplest of problems. He gets SO burnt when my kid reports things he and I have done together on the car. Heehee... poor guy. Can't work on a car but the ex-wife not only does, but is teaching the boy too. :-)

I'm 44 and actually clicked the 41-50 choice but when I went to click Submit, the page jumped and I clicked on the 61-70.

My first car was a 79 Delta 88 that I owned for 4 years. Since then I've owned two Trans Ams with the 403 Olds motor, an 81 and 85 Cutlass as well as the Cutlass S that I have owned since 2000.

I'm 61.
My first (and only) Oldsmobile purchase was a year or so ago - a 1955 Oldsmobile 88, 2 Door Manual transmission. It has taken a year to get it road worthied and registered (the car had not been registered in Australia before).
Living in Australia, my first car was Holden Panel Van.
My daily drive is a 2004 Mercedes E500.

Happy Birthday, bro!

I'm 42, learned to drive in a '75 Chevy Malibu Classic wagon and '74 Chevelle Malibu.
First official car was a '70 Cutlass S (Olds 350, 2bbl, blue/black top) thanks to my brother giving it to me. It's where my love of Olds comes from. That got stolen in '92....grrrr!
Replaced with a '72 Cutlass Supreme, which I owned for over 20yrs until Northeast winters ate her alive. Had a '68 Charger (383, 2bbl, 4-speed, red/black top & int) during that time. Couldn't keep both, put them for sale and <surprise> Charger sold quickly. That was a mistake.
Replaced with current ride and car I plan on having for a long, long time; '70 442 ("worked" Rocket 350 from my '72, now black w/black & green interior, supposed to be green/green). Long term plan: restore back to factory, pass to my boys.

I am turning 52 this month.

First car: 1968 Toronado
Second car: 1979 Delta 88 Royale
Current Olds: 1971 442 Convertible (Painted like a W-30)

We were an Olds family growing up. Dad drove 98 Regency 2 doors throughout the '70s. Mom had a '73 Cutlass S - I loved that car - learned to drive in it!

My other fun car is a 1996 Corvette LT4 Collector Edition

I have always loved 442s and Vettes.

Old Age

71

I bought my first car at the age of 13. It was out in a pasture on blocks, I paid $15.00 for it. I drove it through the high school years. Dad gave it away while I was in the Navy. (1939 Buick Special, straight 8, 4 door sedan). When I got back from Vietnam in 66, I drove to LA and bought a 66 Cutlass Coupe, gold with white interior, bucket seats, floor shift console, I paid $3300.00 for it.

I currently own 2 66 cutlass coupes, a 61 4dr ht Olds 88, and 10 other vehicles.

Just purchased a 67 Cutlass supreme turnpike cruiser, for a daily driver.

I am in Albany, Oregon and enjoy reading this forum.

49 next month.

My first vehicle was a 52' GMC truck. I have fond child hood memories of riding around in my dad's 67' Cutlass.

Though I have owned many specialty and classic cars, my first Olds did not come about until last month. It is a 59' Super 88.

Hi, my name is Lee and I'm an Oldsaholic... My first car was a 68 cutlass supreme and my current Olds is a 68 442 that my dad owned and then sold in the mid 1990s. An old high school friend saw it sitting on a country road a few towns away and was good enough to contact me. After making sure the ole man didn't want to buy it back (which he did, he was just cool enough to let me buy it!) I hauled *** to get it. Oh yeah I'm a week shy from my 39th.

41. I have always been a gm guy and my first car was a 1978 delta royale 4 door silver with red velour that I bought with a rod knocking 350 for $50 in 1989. my good friend found a 71 cutlass holiday a week later in my neighborhood that they were in the yard pulling the radiator out so they could junk it. my friend told them to put the rad back in it and gave them $50 for it ( it was really rotted but ran strong)and I pulled the motor at a scrawny 140 *** age 16 and put in my delta and loved that car. at 17 I bought a 1977 grand prix lj for $400 and also a 1965 buick electra 4 door for $350 to keep the delta company and it was so nice that my stepfather offered me a grand for it when I brought it home! needless to say I have been through about 95 cars almost all gm and loved each one and currently own a 1976 4 door 98 regency, 1978 4 door regency, silver with red velour of course and two 1978 delta royales. and non olds consists of a 95 crown vic which takes a beating every day and a pretty clean 1976 grand prix golden anniversary model with t tops, all power and 455. dave
