Hopefully it will dispel the myth that odd = manual trans and even = automatic. Maybe even stop blaming the well plugs for everything that ails the human race.

My carb worked quite well from Ken, a hell of a lot better than the stock 78 403 idle circuits. Cliff Ruggles was less impressed with carbs from Everyday Performance. He mentioned bent power piston hangers on every carb he pulled apart from there, mine was fairly bent upon removal. I only tweaked a couple of things, the wideband will really show how close it is. It could be Cliff protecting his turf.

A lot of parts on a factory carb has the green plating. Wonder why no one does that, I have a BFIC restored carb, he cad plated all the stuff too 😵‍💫

If you are talking about the green coating on parts like the accelerator pump rod or the throttle shaft, that's actually a teflon coating, not plating. I suspect it's both difficult to apply without a lot of specialized equipment and probably has CFC emissions constraints today. There are industrial suppliers who do this on a mass production basis.

The carbs don’t look rite without it. Even the fuel filter housing is painted silver in that pic, those should be a gold cad
The green coating on the lines on a jap cars prob same.
