Loose Carpet

I have a small area where the carpet is loose in my 1972 Olds Cutlass. I have tried double sided carpet tape but it will not stick to the floor of the car. If anyone knows a way to attach the carpet please let me know.

3M upholstery spray adhesive worked for me. Just make sure that the area is clean first.

What section is loose? I can’t visualize where there’s the ability for the carpet to be loose.

The carpet on the floor isn't glued down. It is molded and just sits there, retained by the door sill plates.

I know. I had a small corner of my replacement carpet that I could not get tucked up under my rear seat (about 2"x2"). It was one of those things that only I ever noticed. But it drove me nuts anyway. A little of the spray adhesive took care of it nicely.

I slipped a long plastic wire tie through the carpet edge where it could not be seen, and pulled it back toward the rear top seat base and attached it there ... worked fine for mine
