Auto Custom Carpet (ACC) in Anniston, AL makes great carpeting. They are the suppliers to many catalogs, or you can just order from them directly. I have installed their carpet in my cars and a couple of customer's cars and was very happy with the quality.

I have carpet on the way to Australia from Automotive Interiors (Mass) as we speak. They were the cheapest and the samples they sent to me were identicle to Fussick and Auto Custom Carpet. Check the companies websites first to correctly determine your carpet style for that year as it isn't really that cut and dried if your going (original) sometimes half a dozen different style of cuts are available. Loop, 80/20, etc etc.

Most companies are happy to send free samples (3 or 4) Fussick charged me $3.00 for the smallest sample I got out of the lot. Most carpet comes with jute backing. From what I can gather Automotive Interiors is a small company, fewer overheads = lower prices.

If it's a 4 speed car, be prepared to do some jacking around the shifter hole. Mine needed some careful stretching and trimming.

ACC makes pretty nice carpet, although the jute on the back side is thinner than original. However an extra layer of the 1/2" cheap jute can be applied also as needed.
It is sold through a variety of vendors, including Legendary.
