A little drive at the track

Every year, a local car show organizer teams up with the local oval track to have a "car community" night where everyone who brings a classic or show car to the track on race night gets free admission. At intermission, they also have the show cars do a few parade laps around the track and announce the owner and car of all participants.

Here are my passes.

At least I managed to make some noise on the 2nd attempt.

Here is the link to the gallery of all 60 cars going around the track... with a few emitting smoke from the tires. I had one of only 3 Oldsmobiles there. The last of the 4 videos in the gallery probably has the most action in it.

Tony, no I didn't. This was at Capital City Speedway west of Ottawa. It does have a drag strip, but it's only 1/8 mile. This is actually the track I did a few 1/8 mile passes in the Delta at last summer.

For the 1/4 mile, you are probably thinking of Luskville drag strip outside of Gatineau.

Anyway, this was just the oval racing night. Drag racing is on Friday nights.
