This proposed fee was dead before the article talking about it even got written. I'm all for people becoming involved in the lawmaking process and support healthy discussion of the issues SO LONG A WE KEEP IT CIVIL. Carry on, but please base your posts on facts.

I spent a lot of time looking at how state governments governed and taxed their citizens before finally settling on Alabama.
My close second was Texas. Alabama was a fluke in that I was transferred here a few years before I retired. But who knows, I still might move to Texas. I think about it all the time.

I lived in Phenix City, AL when I was stationed at Fort Benning. Plus I was stationed at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL for a time and I trained there as a civilian contractor.
