Black gold, let me know. Thanks. Anthony P, i like the bamboo, and i like the contrast between it and the green interior, but i really would like to have some sort of metallic paint to get the depth that i never had with the white.

In 1970 Olds had aspen green, which is a light silver metallic I don't recall the paint code off the top of my head but there is a 70 W30 on eBay right now in that color.

White with the green stripe would be sharp, if your going to keep the green interior. Or I love that car in white with black stripes and black interior. The bittersweet looks sweet but i agree may not look so hot with green interior. Soo white with green stripes is my vote.

Just start plugging in other GM models and years; EG Impala, Electra, Riviera Catalina Grand Prix, Nova, Chevelle, Corvette etc...vary the years of each and view the color chips.
The GM color Im thinking of and have seen is HH code Grecian Green Poly found on the 68 Impala. Or code 45 Green Mist on the 70 Chevys. We have a 68 SS427 4spd around here that looks great in this color. It has the dark green interior as well. There is also a 67 GTO that has Linden Green thats sharp. Look at 69 Pontiac Limelight too. Had a GTO in the hood back in early 70s that color. Always liked it.

Thanks dr olds. These are some really neat colors. Some look green silver and gold all at the same time which I think is neat to go with the interior. I know it's always hard to tell by looking at internet photos but at least maybe I can narrow it down using that site and then purchase some of the paint chip charts and make a final decision. I'm kinda drawn to the 1968 silver green poly and the 1968 willow gold (does this really have the silver green gold color that it appears to be?) but I want to look at all of these that you and he others on this thread have mentioned. Thanks!

I think it's coming down to either a silver or gold, each with only the slightest hint of green in them, not blue, as some of the silvers seem to have.

Best to go to paint supply shop, get a small amount of what you think you want then do a spray-out on something and bring it out into sun light. The paint shop may have the old books with sample chips to look at in person. IMO Id go with silver base not gold. Willow (gold base) is more antiquey looking, think olive drab....Google it.

That Sherwood does look nice.... But with my dark interior I'll have no contrast.

Sherwood similar to Pontiac Verdoro green. Gold base I believe. Very nice but needs black to contrast... IMO of course...The 67 Riv has what I think youd like.

Drolds That 67 riviera IS a nice color. Mist green right? I'm going to look that up and maybe get the chip. It does look like a nice silver with a hint of green. Am I interpreting that correctly from the pics?
Thanks!

Not sure mobile device doesn't show it. It's called out in the pic name at bottom of attachment. Or go to the library and look up 67 Buick. That color with SS1s or SS3s would pop.

I looked at my paint chip charts last night, 1966 - 1972 Olds. Here's a list of every color that I would consider silver with a touch of green.

GM code ..... Color ..... Rinshed-Mason Alpha Cryl Stock No. ..... My comment.

1966
H ..... Laurel Mist Iridescent ..... A-1716 ..... hint of green
Z ..... Frost Green Iridescent ..... A-1820 ..... almost pure silver

1967
B ..... Turquoise Frost Iridescent ..... A-1916 ..... hint of blue/green
H ..... Aspen Green Iridescent ..... A-1901 ..... hint of green

1968
G ..... Willow Gold Iridescent ..... A-1988 ..... greenish gold, not silver
P ..... Silver Green Iridescent ..... A-1989 ..... almost pure silver

1969
59 ..... Meadow Green Iridescent ..... A-2103 ..... hint of green

1970
45 ..... Aspen Green Iridescent ..... A-2268 ..... quite green, actually

1971
41 ..... Silver Mint Iridescent ..... A-2443 ..... hint of green

I do not recommend you view these on-line, as the paint chip charts I've seen on-line are grossly inaccurate and especially cannot show the subtle differences in these colors. By the way, PPG called them all "Poly," not iridescent.

You guys are incredible! Black Gold, too bad we didn't live closer, I'd ask if I can see those sheets in person. I'm going to take DrOlds advice and seek out some paint shops to see if they have these sheets to look through. Otherwise, Anyone selling these paint sheets that Black Gold has listed above at a decent price? Thanks guys!!!

Problem is what the heck goes with dark green except green, gray, black or white? Id like to do something with a slight metallic. I was thinking a very light yellow, dark gray metallic, silver, or maybe white? But to me, some colors look odd on the supreme with no vinyl top. I don't think I want to do green. Any thoughts? I would love to see pics as well. Ted (Sammy from Canada) has a really nice looking silver supreme but we were talking and not sure how that would work with the green interior.
Thanks!
Chris

Like kermit and dave say
It aint easy being green

check 1972 color "radiant green"
I dig it

Cheers

b, I like that color as well, but I think it would clash with my dark green interior. Someone earlier had suggested changing the color of the interior, but I like the challenge of finding the right color to go well with the dark green.
Thanks!

I'm really starting to like this color! I wonder if mine had the black paint on the hood since it was an OAI unit with a black vynal top.

I bought mine off of eBay. It's been several years, but I probably paid an average of a little under $10 apiece. Sounds pricey, but its just a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of a paint job. And you'll have them forever.

So has anyone ever seen Revere Silver from a 72 Pontiac lemans? Is this more silver or green? I saw it at a show and it looked like both to me depending on the angle. Is this accurate? I think I might like this color. It appears a bit less green than my original pinehurst green. Thoughts? Thanks!
Chris.
