I will never complain about the price of fuel again..
The price is being artificially held down in Australia, higher prices won't be too far away here.
So what are your prices there now?
Not looking to twist this thread but with all the new electric vehicles coming around. Supply and demand could drastically change on oil/gasoline.

today in adelaide standard 3.85usd/gal, premium 4.48usd/gal
just for comparison, the 'whatever is on special' oil i feed my cars is about 19.60usd for 5 quarts. The good stuff for the olds and the landcruiser is about 42.80usd for 5 quarts.
i think as the take up of electric vehicles in australia increases (which is i think the slowest of any country due to our crap government) the price of fuels wil go up not down as gas companies try to gouge their profits out of the ones of us who can't afford to pay through the nose for electric cars.

I am old. Right after I bought my 442 in maybe 1985 86 maybe. Gas prices dropped to 40 cents per gallon. I bought 90+ octane for 45 cents per gallon. My Olds got twelve at best. We would put a full tank in and go burn it off on the highway. I was clocked at 138 in my 70 442 with a 2.78 rear. I knew people that had a State Trooper as a friend. He set it up. My Olds had more I swear.
So back to today's fuel prices. How in the H do you guys in Sweden etc afford that? Who is in your pocket over there? You go to a cruise and it is an investment. Are you just used to prices close to that? I have so much more respect now thinking about all of you that have gas sucking cars out in countries like that.

Most of our gasprices is tax and yes , there are a lot of complains over the prices but we
are maybe a little used to it. But it is expensive to live on the countryside and to get at work.
Everybody here wants cheaper gas and diesel but so much talk about climate and electric
cars now gas price i mentioned above was for 95 octane , i usually fill my Olds with 98
octane and this are even more expensive than 95.We are living close to Norway but the
prices are almost like ours and they produce oil themselves.
It costs a lot to drive the v8 engines here , but it is imported some thousends us car every
year so driving us car is very popular also by younger people i,m 62 years old so US
cars and Harleys have followed me the whole life and i hope i could continue rest of my life.
Cars/trucks here that is 30 years old or more do not need to pay the "roadtax" all others have
to do , and safety inspection every 2 years instead of 1 year. ( different with new cars )
Is the car over 50 years old you do not need the safety inspection either , just insurance.
And most american cars are insuranced in "some special companies and terms".
There are cars here with 6.2 and Mercedes diesel engines swapped to get lower gas milage.
Price update : gas 7,55 $ and diesel 8,24 $.
Grey area what the gas and diesel cost , red and yellow are taxes ( from Shell website )

Yikes brother. Where are you buying gas? I just got gas on South Broadway for 2.83 per gallon. I saw 2.89 at King Soopers. These prices are also in Denver. Highest I have seen is 3.59.
Hey No1, I'm in Parker. Last I bought gas was about three weeks ago, now. Was just out yesterday and saw it had come down to 'bout $3.30-ish, depending on venue. I bet the high spike a few weeks back was due to the holiday. I can't find below $3.10 anywhere along my usual routes except at King Soopers when our discount gets up to $.30/gallon due to the monthly grocery bill . Since I work at DIA, I sometimes get caught having to fill-up at that Phillips station on Pena Blvd - ugh!
Just a thought......... If you think electricity cost will stay the same, think again. Wait til electric car owners start complaining about the cost of a "recharge".

I'm a year or two away from installing some solar panels. Wish I was an electrician, I'm sure I would've done it already.
Was 3.35 recently, now edging up to 3.39 in PA. They hit us with a new hugeg gas tax several years ago, promised it was going to fix all our roads and bridges.
Within a few years it was diverted to pay for State Police pensions, illegally. So they can retire at 50 with full health care.

Amen. Setting up the world like dominoes. That's why I feel like gas usage and demand will go down. We will see.
Going solar ? Don't you still have to pay locally somehow for that?
Filled up the truck with 98 octane today and it cost 7,97 $ , i usually fill 95 in the truck but
we got the 10% ethanol in 95 in august , 98 have still the 5 % of ethanol.
Well surprise it thurs and gas goes up every Thursday, no conspiracy here? Sarnia Ontario 138.5 per Liter for 89 octane, and 1.60 for 91 Octane, so if an American were to buy gas at our price a gallon would cost 1.60x 3.80 = $6.08 at todays price.

We are a touch cheaper for 91 non ethanol Premium 1.56, around 6 dollars a US gallon. Regular 87 10 percent ethanol in actually .4 cents more here.
We grow all the crude we need down here, but have to send it to a refinery before it gets back here in usable form ..
Still cheap!!

Victoria, Texas
I'll say,
Here in south central PA regular is $3.25 and Premium is $4.25. Owning cars that only get filled with premium is not real cheap around here. Still not as bad as CA or Europe though.
Medina, Ohio, $3.29 for regular and $3.89 for premium for my 66 Cutlass. Keeps going up. Fortunately winter is around the corner. Car is going into storage next week. Crap happens.
