Unhappy How much is gas where you live?

Hi all
Perhaps Gas isn't as expensive as you thought relative to what others pay.
I guess we need to keep it all in the same currency so ClassicOld's being a US site we'll keep it in USD and price per US gallon.
You'll have to convert your currency to what the exchange rate is on the day.
If you live outside of the US you'll have to do the maths.
Lets not get bogged down with octane rating differences, simply put the fuel rating available where you are.

Heres the conversions to make it easier;
1 US Gallon = 0.833 Imperial Gallon (rounded)
1 US Gallon = 3.785 Litres

I'll kick it off, so here in South Oz today I pay;

$5.49usd Gal for 91 octane ($1.45/L aud)
$6.62usd Gal for 98 Premium ($1.75/L aud)

Yes I figured there would be some who like me buy fuel p/L.
It means nothing tho if we all use different measurements for volume and different currencies. Just thought it would be easier to compare if it was done using the same standard, I chose USD and US Gal, this being a US based site.

So 76Olds you pay $4.46usd Gal for your gas in ontario CAN.

I think when I passed a station today it was about $3.55 a gallon for 87 (RON) Regular and $3.75 for 93 (RON) Premium.

If we were over $5 a gallon here, I think there'd be a revolution.
I mean, an actual, real revolution.

GasBuddy will give you the numbers throughout the US and Canada.

Central NJ anywhere from 3.17 to 3.27 a gallon for regular and I remember the shock when it was predicted that gas would soon be a dollar a gallon! The cheapest I bought it for was 27.9 cents a gallon.

I just filled up with 91 octane (the best we have in the Phoenix area, and it's 10% ethanol) for $3.45 a gallon.

Here in my area of Ohio it's $3.48 by my house for regular. It's $3.69 for regular at some stations and I saw it for $3.43 in the Akron area today. Depends on where you're at around here, lol. It's too much, anyhow....

$3.36/gl for 87 octane regular today in Olympia and going up. Just 20 days ago the same station was selling it for $3.10/gl. Must be the tension in the Ukraine...no, the missing jet...oh, wait, it's the conversion from winter gas to summer gas...whatever it is, it's always a pain in the spring!

Went up recently, cheapest is $3.23 87 octane 10% ethanol. No ethanol is $3.59 for 87. Diesel was $3.69 when I filled up yesterday. The cheapest I have seen gas in the last year was I think around $2.69 but that did not last but a day or 2.

Diesel: 1.33€/l, that's 5.034€/gal, 6,97$/gal
Super Plus (102 oct rocket fuel): 1.58€/l, that's about 5.98€/gal, 8.29$/gal

If my math is correct... US$ exchange rate makes it look worse at the moment...

And that's already on the lower end of the price scale here....I can remember last year in September we were at 9,19 $/gallon!
It makes me sad that others can drive their Olds for the same money it costs me to drive my 3-cylinder Opel Corsa

I live in Windsor Ontario and work in Detroit Michigan. I cross the Ambassador Bridge on the way home. They have a duty free gas station there. Right now regular 87 is $3.50. I save an extra .05 cents because of the toll pass I use. at the local gas stations they are at about 3.69-3.79 on average. Back in January the lowest I paid was about $2.85 a gallon for regular.

That's something new. Back then, when I last crossed, there were only duty-free ciggs and booze. To get my Cuban cigars, I had to drive further inland to Windsor and was forced to get a whiff of Hiram Walker's fragrance

As of two hours ago, the discounter charged 1,45 €. Shell is usually more and their sign is electronically controlled, so that if you're not perceptive, you could read one price driving in and it could change lightning fast, so that you're paying way more, once you whip out the nozzle to procreate with your tank.
I get $7.63 a galloon for regular which is premium on your side of the pond. There is no leaded fuel, here. There might still be some available behind the former Iron Curtain

That's one reason I tank in Switzerland. Over there, the tax is around 50 or so % and the money goes for repairing the road, unlike how Germany wastes it. Up here in Northern BC on the Alaska Highway diesel is posted $1.579 per litre. With a 90 cent Canadian dollar & 3.8 litres per US gallon that equates to $6.66 per gallon. The devil is clearly at work!


87 octane gas is $1.529 per litre. Same math brings it to $6.457 per US gallon. Damn thieves!

Here in central Florida (Orlando area) it was $3.33/gal - 87 octane yesterday (Tuesday) morning. By yesterday afternoon all the stations were at $3.49/gal. At least here, they don't have one price for cash and another for credit at most places. That drives me crazy in New Jersey!

Here in Denmark it is at a low, as NOP from Germany writes prices were much higher 6-12 month back.
Today it is 8,92 USD pr. gallon = 2,34USD /L
This is whay 2 out of 3 car are little shoebox piles of **** ( parden my language )

Any higher? Then you must be from Norway or Iceland ;-)
