hood to firewall seal

I need to replace the seal that runs across the body in front of the windshield to hood, Anyone know where to find or a part #. This is for a 72 cutlass S. I live about 15 miles from Steel so maybe I can take a drive down to see them in person.

This would depend on what model, year, and body style car you are working on.
For the popular models, they are reproduced. Let us know the above and we can dig further.

Steel Rubber and Soff Seal are two companies that reproduce weatherstripping.

If Steele doesn't have it Fusick will.

Be ready for the back edge of the hood to raise up a little bit until the new seal is fully compressed.

Keep in mind also that some seals come in both hard rubber and soft foam. Make sure you get the correct one for your model. If you get hrd rubber instead of foam, the hood may never want to compress it...
