No worse for the wear and time away from me. And still sporting those dual Flowmaster 40s and pipes I put on. Thank goodness the chrome is still good and it still has the stainless wheel discs and fender skirts.

That is a respectable ride, and in the right color.

Very nice car and the colour is my favourite. Did you buy it back?

Not yet and I think I'll let the new owners enjoy it for a while. I was just happy to luck up and check my junk email. Apparently I left the warranty information on the Flowmasters in the glovebox and that's how they found me. The car is on its 5th owners since me (I was the 2nd when I picked the car up with 11,000 miles for $2200).

The new owners are in LA (Lower Alabama) and purchased the car from a guy in Destin, FL. Not sure where he got it. I sold it to a guy in Sarasota.

I told them if they ever wanted to sell it to give me first right of refusal. Otherwise, send me pictures of you enjoying it.

That's a great story. Congratulations. I can trace my car back two owners , but I'd love to follow it back to Amarillo where it was purchased new.

The 98 was purchased new in Elizabethtown, NC and the owner lived in Loris, SC. Apparently, the owner died around 1970. The family traded the car for funeral services and the funeral home parked the car in a back garage, using it sporadically when they needed a 3rd family car for bigger funerals. According to the funeral director, they never bothered to re-title the car and the 1970 plates were still on it in 1989.

I bought it in 1989 for $2200 (advertised in Hemmings print edition) and owned it until 1991. Protect O Plate was still in the glove box and the original title signed by the owner's widow was what I turned into the state when I went to get my new plates and insurance.

I tuned up the 394/345 and added custom dual exhaust. It had 11,000 miles on it when I bought it and 14,000 miles when I sold it.

I never should have let it go but glad to know where it ended up.
