drop spindles of f body spindles

Anyone running drop or f body spindles with coil overs? What are the real draw backs or advantages to either?

72 big block

It was state of the art technology in 1988. Today not so much. There is bump-steer issuses when doing this on an A-body and the drop spindle geometry is terrible. There is a great modern book out called How To Make Your Muscle Car Handle. It does a really good job showing you pro and cons of parts ava today.

Its not the least expensive way to go but the AFX spindle is the cats Meow for a-body suspension. I was not will to spend that much so I went with the stock spindles and tall ball joints. This gets you 75% of the geometry the AFX gets you without all the expense.

You also have to use 17" or larger wheels to run the AFX spindle because it uses Corvette hubs.

do you know if there is any clearance issues from running tall ball joints when shimming the control arms on a 72 big block?
