I have search the internet and looked through the forum trying to find information on the body color and interior colors. I have found information for the top line and know the car was built in Oshawa Ont. The tag is as follows

TR 977 572E


A31C5OD55M38


Any help would be appreciated.

The bottom line is options. A31 = power windows. C50 = rear window defogger. D55 = console (which implies that you have bucket seats). And M38 = THM 350 transmission.


TR 977, I believe, would say that you have an ivory color interior. The 572E for lower and upper body colors is a real wild one - I've never seen anything like that before. Perhaps if you posted a picture of your trim tag, that might help. Sometimes what it appears to be, and what it really is, can be two different things.

If it's a Canadian car, you should be able to obtain the invoice from GM of Canada.

Not an expert by any means, but could this car have special-ordered paint?

The date build code is buried under the rivet on the left side. Looks like it could be a 3A or 5A. I don't see a 0 before the number which also seems a bid different than usual.
