Build sheet 1985 442

I found a sheet under the tank of my 1985 442. When did the line stop putting them in Olds? ....i thought they went with the trunk sticker instead...

My 1984 Custom Cruiser does not have a SPID. My wife's 1985 D88 does, as did the 1986 Caprice wagon. Pretty sure 1985 was the first year that Olds used the SPID, at least on the RWD cars.

I find it funny people refer to build sheets being under the tank! When really on top! I think it is cool you found one! I don't care how anyone explains it really it gave me a chance to have a small chuckle. Everyone have a good day and smile every chance you get.

'84 H/Os had SPID's from what I've seen. Never seen a G-body build sheet, so whatever you have there is rare...

This is jogging the memory, but the '83-'84 H/Os had to be built in Lansing due to the Cars & Concepts conversion... but I am pretty sure the '85-'87 442s could be built in another plant, potentially Arlington. If so, that may be a reason yours has a build sheet, as I've never heard of one from a Lansing-built G-body.

You are referring to a different subject which has no bearing on this! As for the answer to your comment are you hot or cold as to direction of up or down!

FYI I believe 85-87 442's were built in Pontiac, MI at least my 87 was.

EDIT: just spotted an 85 with a Arlington VIN
