AC compressor mount for Sanden

Has anyone used the cast iron mount used at the front of the A6 GM compressor to mount a Sanden type compressor. I know you can buy an aftermarket mount but I was wanting to use the cast iron mount if possible. I got some ideas but I am checking to see if someone has done this so I could avoid trying to reinvent the wheel.

Back when I was installing automotive A/C in Phoenix I installed plenty of adapter mounts on the factory mount, but never directly mounted a Sanden to the factory cast iron mount. As long as the compressor is lined up parallel with the rest of the pulleys it will work. Be sure and post some pics of your work if it is successful!

Google is your friend Dood! Do a search for "Sanden compressor mounting kit" and you will get all the results you could wish for. Pick one of the sources and search for the one you need...

Vintage Air Compressor Brackets 141008

This is what I will use if I don't get my home made brackets to work. This the passenger side bracket, they also have a drivers side too.

Not sure if this helps but years ago I adapted a Sanden compressor to the stock compressor bracket on a 1963 Buick, all it needed was a little file work and some spacer washers to line up the belt. I would at least trial fit it before buying all new brackets.

I bought an A/C bracket from Classic Auto Air to mount my Sanden compressor to my 67 330. It is a very heavy duty bracket and works perfect, it is very adjustable in every direction. I got the recommendation from the guys here on this board. The bracket isn't listed on their website, you have to call and ask for it.

Classic Auto Air in Fort Worth had a great bunch of people there. I bought my whole system there for the 64 F-85...
