AC compressor weight

How much does the stock A6 AC compressor weigh? I'm thinking of going with one of those 10-piston aluminum compressors for my resto-mod build and wondering how much the weight savings will be? Thanks.

About 35-36 lbs. not counting the cast mounting brackets.

It's a lot heavier when you're supporting it with one hand while trying to get the bolts lined up in the brackets...

ProTen weight?

Anybody know the weight difference between the A6 and the lighter aluminum ProTen compressor?

Wow, the Sanden I'm using is a little over 10lbs maybe 15 with the brackets etc.

The ProTen is around 22#, much easier to support with one hand! and perfect fit

They are about half the weight. If you need a pro6ten, I have them.
