I bought a spark-plug socket with hex on top. I use an open-end wrench on the socket's hex for the back plug by the A/C box.
I don't recall specifically what I use for the plug behind the A/C compressor--I must use something fairly common that I already have in my toolbox.

I find that one is easy to get to from underneath. Jack up the car a reach up, there is a lot more room for your hand. If you must go from the top, a long extension with a swivel spark plug socket will usually work.

thanks for the reply. my hands barely fit. i finally got it started last night. no i have to make about a 100 1/16 turns to get it on. i did order a sidewinder socket wrench should make it a hell of alot easier in the future. steve
