64 Dynamic 88 gas tank

I’m restoring a 64 dynamic 88 and I tried to fuel it up yesterday and it’s leaking pretty heavy. I’m hoping someone might have a tank or if anyone can tell me what tank from another vehicle might fit that would be great!

thanks in advance

The tank can come from any 1963-64 88 or Ninety Eight except station wagon.

No reproductions available and the full-size Chevrolet tanks are just different enough they don't fit well. I keep telling the folks at Fusick there's a market for these tanks.

If not too far gone, you may be able to repair it with a fiberglass patch while searching for a replacement.

You may be able to restore the fuel tank if it's not too rotten.

I'm not up on 64' tech advice but see if a reputable radiator shop can clean / repair it. If not, perhaps the 62 -1964 Tech advisor from OCA could give some insight.

It appears that the same tank will fit 1961 thru 1964. If the proper vent pipes are used.
This is from the 1964 Chassis Parts Catalog.

I don't know if Fusick is aware of this, but maybe it could change their minds about a repro tank.

Charlie, thanks. I stand corrected. The Nov 73 parts book doesn't go into that detail and is what I based my 63-4 reply on.

And I have a Jan 65 copy that does show it.🙄

Maybe that info will help us convince Fusick or somebody to produce these tanks.

Gas Tank Renu is an option. It's not cheap but it'll be fixed. Google it, there is probably service station near you that offers it.
